PL Charpenterie is an artisanal company driven by a passion for wood.
According much respect to traditional know-how, PL Charpenterie’s team members have mastered building techniques that have stood the test of time. Our workers are agile and wary of the ease of modern times, and they are keen to give a second life to wood. Each beam is carved with a chisel and each joint is fashioned using time-honoured methods. The essence of every project reflects their respect for tradition.
PL Charpenterie is the story of a person with a talent for bringing people together, Pierre-Luc Brassard, who as a result of his life choices has been able to inspire a team skilled in the integrity of tradition, through his love for wood.
The story is unique and the journey unprecedented. Pierre-Luc had obtained a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Aeronautics and planned to go on to study at the university level at the École de technologies supérieures in Montreal. A week before the start of classes, he had a revelation. He abandoned his vision of modern life in the city, returned to his land, and devoted himself to building his first house and to his training. The adventure began and became the foundation for his reality today: solid wood-frame houses built according to the strict methods of conventional wood framing.
Pierre-Luc continues to convey his passion for wood and tradition to others, just as he has done with his team of dedicated carpenters. With the PL Charpenterie team on board, the result will extend beyond the culmination of a construction project to the tangible attainment of an ideal rooted in the nobility, essence, and tradition of wood.
